TBO and what we've done during the Pandemic

Good Afternoon Everyone!

The Backpack Operation, over the past few weeks, have extended their reach to all over the city with other initiatives. The Mobile Unit has been working hard to pass out more hygiene packs to whomever they encounter. Over the last few weeks they have handed out 50 packs to those on the streets and have provided more information to aid other organizations in their attempts to make their client lives a bit easier.

The Backpack Operation, in conjunction with Care For Real and The Night Ministry, have provided shirts, socks, underwear, sleeping mats and COVID tests to over 150 different clients (families and individuals alike) through donations and outreach on the streets. We've seen influxes of new tent cities and additions to current tent cities due to construction and the City of Chicago pushing those without homes to other locations around the places they've called home. We will continue to work with these organizations to make our clients lives easier and to help them leave the street life and re-enter a level of normalcy.
